This is a nice syrup that goes with most base spirits.
Peels from a grapefruit (or two if they’re small)
A few sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 part Water (200ml)
1.5 part Sugar (300ml)
In pot, combine ingredients and bring to a simmer. Keep heat but don’t let it boil for 15-30 minutes. It’ll make the house smell nice. Strain out the solids and cool. Should probably use it a couple weeks after making it.
This one comes from Thanksgiving 2024, we made another batch of the grapefruit/rosemary simple syrup and were playing with different things.
1oz Grapefruit/Rosemary simple syrup
1.5oz Piggyback Rye
Hot water
Combine syrup and rye in a coffee mug, top with hot water and stir. Warms you up on a chilly night.
1 part Awayuki Strawberry Gin
1 part lime juice
1 part Aperol
1 part Nonino
Shake, strain. Serve up. No garnish.
2oz Piggyback Rye
3/4oz Amaro Lucano
3/4oz Dolin Dry
3/4oz Luxardo Maraschino
Stir, stain over big cube in rocks glass. A cherry could work as a garnish.
Another Low ABV gleaned from Anders Erickson’s youtube.
1.5oz Dolin Dry
3/4oz Benedictine
3 dashes Absinthe
Orange peel
Regal Stir (alcohols, orange peel, ice), strain. Serve up w/ expressed orange peel oil.
A bitter low ABV cocktail. Found this one through Anders Erickson.

“Regal” Shake everything with the lemon peel and ice. Strain. Server up. Express another lemon peel and garnish.
